Broadway’s greatest musical party, ROCK OF AGES, will burst onto the ACC Mainstage on July 15, opening our 45th anniversary summer season. An explosive combination of rock and roll and hilarious comedy, this iconic ’80s-inspired production promises a night to be remembered. Featuring the talents of the entire STF ensemble and lavished with chart topping favorites from legendary rockers such as Quiet Riot, Poison, Pat Benatar, Styx, Starship, Twisted Sister, Joan Jett, REO Speedwagon, Survivor, Foreigner,Guns N’ Roses and many more…all played loud and proud by the incredible STF band. ROCK OF AGES by Chris D’Arienzo will let you leave it all behind and lose yourself in a city and a time where the dreams are as big as the hair, and yes, they can come true!
Up next on the mainstage is LUCKY STIFF. This musical murder mystery farce of mistaken identities, millions in diamonds and a wheelchair-bound corpse, will leave you dying of laughter. Created by Lynn Ahrens and Stephen Flaherty, the Tony-winning writing team behind “Ragtime,” “Once on This Island” and “Anastasia”. LUCKY STIFF packs an outrageous spirit into a classic Broadway musical that serves up a night of frivolity, a toe tapping musical score and an ensemble cast of zany characters sure to charm any audience!
Embark on a transformative and touching journey with BALLOONACY by Barry Kornhouser. The young…and the young at heart will be treated to a story that starts very simply: A single red balloon drifts through the window to the surprise of a person spending their birthday alone at home. Through spectacular physical comedy in the tradition of Charlie Chaplin, we are reminded of the power of play, and laughter. BALLOONACY explores the universal theme of friendship, using the universal language of pantomime.
Featuring an astounding line up of Canadian Music Artists, THE GREAT CANADIAN SONGBOOK CHALLENGE offers a lively and entertaining spin on our dinner theatre, complete with carefully curated Canadian music, little known facts, and an audience interactive game show. Eat, drink and be challenged at this popular STF presentation that is not to be missed!
